THE ARTIST DINING ROOM
The Artist Dining Room is a supper club at Guest Projects where creative minds can engage with the ideas of a well known artist through food. A Guest Chef is invited to collaborate for each dinner to create a tailor made menu exploring the fundamental, social and intellectual content of the artist’s work, which is reflected through the courses of the meal. A Guest Host is also invited to lead the evening through discussion and performance surrounding the themes of the dinner.
In London's East-end artistic hub Yinka Shonibare MBE's Guest Projects space is located along Regents Canal, providing a great space for creative thinkers to socialise around food. Hosted on the first week of every other month, The Artist Dining Room offers the chance to visit East London's late night exhibitions followed by a memorable dining experience with others.
Dinners will be inspired by Artists and Art movements, previous dinners have included: William Burroughs, Louise Bourgeois, David Lynch, Frida Kahlo, Marcel Duchamp, Kurt Schwitters, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Salvador Dalí, Andy Warhol, Richard Hamilton, Sophie Calle, Kara Walker, Christo and Jeanne-Claude and Cindy Sherman, Francesca Woodman and Nan Goldin for International Women's Day March 2017, and Derek Jarman.
Proceeds from tickets sales go towards running the Guest Projects programme.
