Guest Artists Space Foundation is looking for a Head of Programme and Artist Liaison.  This is a full time position based in Lagos, Nigeria which comes with a competitive salary commensurate with global firms and benefits.

This is a once in a lifetime role for someone who is truly passionate about working, leading and contributing to the burgeoning creative and cultural sector in Nigeria.   Guest Artists Space (GAS) is looking for an exceptional person to lead the practical operations, programming and local fundraising of this Lagos based organisation on behalf of the board. 

You will need to extend a warm welcome as the host of Guest Artists Space in Nigeria, provide and manage logistical and programme support to the residential and public programme. Be entrepreneurial and flexible with a creative approach to problem solving, exceptional organisation and project management skills. Skills in people management and communications are essential plus a resilient can-do attitude, and the ability to smile even under pressure.  

The successful applicant will engage and manage projects with top-level partners across the world and will be generally responsible for the exceptional delivery of all projects, partnerships and events. You will liaise and work closely with our partner organisation Yinka Shonibare Foundation and their managing director based in the UK, in the strategic development, fundraising, planning and governance of GAS. 

This is a senior role in a small, new and forward-thinking organisation. You will manage and be responsible for the day-to-day artist residency space in Lagos and the residential space in Ijebu when it is in use. You will lead and develop a small support team including a full-time programme coordinator (to be appointed).
