On Friday 2nd December The Artist Dining Room returns to host another unforgettable dining experience. For this occasion, guests will be given the opportunity to explore the life and work of the renowned contemporary artist Kara Walker.
For one night only Guest Projects will be joining creative forces with Tasha Marks from AVM Curiosities and writer and performer Bridget Minamore, to bring you an exciting evening of shadow play and poetry.
Guests will indulge in an exquisite 3-course menu in which each plate will take you on a journey through the chapters of Kara Walker’s life – from nibbles inspired by her African-American roots, to a sugar encased take on Walker’s seminal work ‘A Subtlety’, this time with an increased historic twist.
More than just a feast for the palate, the supper will be a feast for the eyes, ears and imagination. The diners will be led through the menu, each course performing as a retrospective encounter with Kara Walker’s life and artistic practice, exposing styles, themes and narratives within her work.
