October Build Update: G.A.S. Lagos

October Build Update: G.A.S. Lagos

After several years in the making, we’re finally approaching the last few months of construction on the G.A.S. Lagos building. Much of the structural work has now been completed on both the main building and the external utility space which has meant that the team has been able to start installing windows throughout. The exterior ramp which will eventually be covered by an intricately patterned screen is also well on the way to being finished.

Inside the building balustrades are being added to staircases whilst on the ground floor installation of the expansive bookcase system that will wrap around much of the interior is being fitted. Upstairs on the first floor, the suspended ceilings that will cover much of the ventilation system have also gone in. Meanwhile, in the residency ensuites, the bathrooms are being tiled ready for basins and showers to be fitted and as we step outside on the terrace we see that the floor tiling has also been finished.

Much of the work completed on the first floor has been replicated on the second floor. In the courtyard below we can see the outlines of what will soon be a fish pond. The work is still on track to be completed by early 2022 with our first residents due to arrive in April of the same year.
